Error/Fault
The motor does not start.
The motor does not reach the
maximum speed.
The motor does not stop.
Motor is operating too fast.
Excess formation of exhaust/
smoke
Cutting performance too low.
Blade (8) rotates in idle or without
the gas lever (23) being operated.

Cause
Tank empty?
Wrong fuel or incorrect mixture?
Is the ignition switch (25) set to
OFF?
Spark plug connector (13) is not
firmly fitted?
Is the connector of the ignition
cable (13) soiled?
Gas lever (22) not locked?
Excess fuel in the combustion
chamber?
Spark plug is dirty (tip is sooty)?
Electrode spacing of the spark
plug is too big
Is the spark plug defective?
Motor cold?
Is the air filter soiled?
Carburettor setting incorrect?
Spark plug: Electrode is light grey
with signs of burning?
Motor is too cold?
Wrong fuel mix?
Blade (8) is blunt?
Idle revolutions are too high?
Remedy
Fill with fuel.
Empty the tank and fill with the
right mixture.
Switch on the ignition switch (25).
Fit the spark plug connector (13)
properly.
Clean the spark plug
connector (13).
Push the gas lever (22) to the half
gas position and lock.
Start the motor several times
without operating the cold start
lever (14)
(Position ). If the motor does
not start:
Remove the spark plug and dry
the electrode.
Clean the spark plug.
Set the gap to 0.6--0.7 mm.
Replace the spark plug.
Operate the cold start
lever (14)
Clean or replace the air filter.
Have the carburettor adjusted.
Use a spark plug with higher tem-
perature resistance.
Allow motor to slowly warm up, if
necessary adjust the cold start le-
ver up a little.
Use the prescribed fuel.
Turn the blade (8) (only for blades
for which this is possible) or re-
place.
Have the blade (8) sharpened by a
specialist.
Have the carburettor adjusted.
