7.2 Knife installation and adjustment:
Disconnect machine from power source.
Wear suitable gloves when changing cutter knives.
Use only suitable cutter knives conforming the technical
specification and EN 847-1
Unsuitable, incorrectly mounted, dull, cracked of bent cutter
knives can work loose or increase the risk of kickback
considerably.
Always replace both cutter knives at once.
The knife lock bars are balanced to each other and thus can
randomly be placed.
The cutter knives cannot be resharpened!
Use genuine Jet replacement parts only.
Place the cutter knife lock bar in the cutterblock´s groove.
Turn the square-head bolts so far that the cutter knife will
just slide in.
Insert a sharp cutter knife and adjust position with the knife
lock bar, so that neither protrudes over the edge of the
cutter block.
Adjust the knives according to the knife setting gauge (J)
resting on the outfeed table (F2).
When turning the cutter block, the adjustment gauge must
move with the cutter block knife by 1 to 3mm.
This assures the correct setup, the knife is on same height
or slightly higher than the outfeed table.
The knife must be adjusted on both ends.

Use the jack screws (D) to micro adjust the knife.
To tighten the cutter knife, start tightening with the two outer
bolts, then tighten the rest of bolts.
Do not extend the spanner when tightening the bolts, do not
tighten bolts by striking the spanner.
Repeat on the second knife.
Reposition the cutter block guard.
7.3 Jointer fence adjustment
The jointer fence (A) can be adjusted between 90° and 45°.
Use a square, determine if the fence is 90º to the table.
Use screw (D) to adjust the 90° stop.
Use screw (F) to adjust the 45° stop.
Position the indicator (B) for correct scale reading.
