Connection with the television via a SCART or HDMI cable

You can connect the DVD/video recorder to your television set either with a SCART cable or an HDMI cable
(not supplied).
The illustration shows two different connection types:
 1sttype: Connect the SCART cable to your DVD/video recorder's SCART socket and to the SCART input
socket on your television set.
 2ndtype: Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI-OUT output sockets on your
DVD/video recorder and the HDMI input sockets on your television set.

Connection with the television via a component cakle (YUV/YPbPr)

You may also connect the DVD/video recorder via a component cable (not supplied). With this type of
connection, an extra cable must be used for the audio signal. Please use an audio cinch cable (red and white
- not supplied) for the audio signal.
 Connect the component cable to the YpbPr connections on the DVD/video recorder and on the
television set. Please take care to ensure that the coloured connection sockets match the coloured plugs.
 Connect the audio cable (red and white cinch) to the AUDIO OUT L/R connection on the DVD/video
recorder and on the corresponding audio input on the television set. In this case also, take care to ensure
that the colours of the plugs match the coloured sockets on the devices.
