8. MAINTENANCE
8.1 Cleaning
CAUTION: Disconnect the Ranger 1000 Scale from the power supply before
cleaning.
The housing may be cleaned with a cloth dampened with a mild detergent if
necessary.
Attention: Do not use solvents, chemicals, alcohol, ammonia or abrasives to clean
the housing or control panel. Do not allow liquids to enter the housing.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The following table lists common problems, possible causes and remedies. Should
further problems persist, please contact your local servicing dealer.

Possible Causes
AC power not connected.
Battery discharged.
Battery defective or past
its useful life.
Unstable environment.
Interference under pan.
Improper calibration.
A/D count is not correct.
Display capacity
exceeded
RANGER 1000 SERIES
Remedy
Connect scale to power.
Replace battery by an
authorized service dealer.
Ensure a stable
environment.
Ensure that the weighing
pan is unobstructed and
free to move.
Calibrate the scale using
proper calibration weights.
Replace the scale.
Have the load cell replaced.
Ensure display capacity is
not exceeded
