Submerged installation (A)
At the pressure socket (2), connect the line returning the water into the pond. When submerged, insert the unit into the
filter module. Ensure that the unit never runs without water flowing through! Maximum installation depth: 4 metres.
Dry installation (B)
Disconnect the power supply first, then secure the unit to prevent unintentional switching on. Remove the contact protec-
tion (3) by turning it counter-clockwise. Do not reach into the pump opening (1). If necessary, fasten the suction hose
using the adapter set provided for tube (6) or hose (7) installation. Connect the suction hose to the suction socket (1).
Switching on, starting up
It is important to adhere to the safety instructions. The unit switches on automatically when connected to power. The
power supply must be disconnected to switch off the unit.
Maintenance and cleaning
Attention! Always disconnect the power supply prior to starting cleaning and maintenance work!
For cleaning, take the unit out of the water and clean the contact protection as well as the suction unit.
Wearing parts
The impeller unit (rotor/impeller unit) is a wearing part and does not fall under the warranty.
Replacing the impeller unit
Disconnect the power supply first, then secure the unit to prevent unintentional switching on. Turn the contact protec-
tion counter-clockwise or unscrew the screw-connection of the suction line. Undo the 4 screws from the motor block
which fix the pump housing. Pull the impeller unit out of the motor block by overcoming a slight resistance, then replace
it with a new impeller unit. Refit and securely tighten the pump housing. Refit the contact protection or retighten the
screw-connection. Restore the power connection and put the unit into operation. Only use original OASE spare parts.
Storage/Over-wintering
The unit is of frost-proof design and may stay in the water over the winter. However, should you take the system out of
the water, store it in a container filled with water. Ensure that the plug is not submersed (D)!
Disposal
Dispose of the unit in accordance with the national legal regulations.
Dry run/blockage protection
The unit switches off automatically if it runs without water or if the impeller unit is blocked.
− Check that the unit is below the water line and that it does not run dry or take in air during operation.
− If the impeller unit is blocked, pull the power plug first and ensure that the unit cannot be switched on unintentionally.
Turn the contact protection counter-clockwise or unscrew the screw-connection of the suction line. Overcome the
cause of the blockage through the pump opening. Refit the contact protection or retighten the screw-connection.
Restore the power connection and put the unit into operation.
− This switch-off function is reset by pulling the power plug.

Utilisation conforme à la finalité
La gamme Optimax, nommée par la suite «appareil», sert de pompe filtrante par gravitation en branchement se-
condaire pour une utilisation dans des installations de filtration à entraînement par gravité. Elle est exclusivement
réservée au pompage d'eau normale de bassin et pour une température de l'eau allant de 4°C à +35°C et avec une
tension de service de 230 volts. L'appareil résiste au gel.
Cet appareil est conçu pour être utilisé dans des bassins et des piscines (A) dans le respect de prescriptions natio-
nales de construction.
