SPEED SELECTION SWITCH:
4. GENERAL FLIGHT TIPS:
• Always lay the helicopter down on a smooth surface. A slanting surface may negatively affect
the starting characteristics of the helicopter.
• Always move the regulator slowly and sensitively.
• Always observe the helicopter and not the remote control unit!
• Move the actuating regulator downwards slightly as soon as the helicopter lifts off from the
ground. In order to maintain the fl ying height, adapt the actuating regulator settings.
• If the helicopter goes lower, move the actuating regulator upwards slightly.
• If the helicopter rises, move the actuating regulator downwards slightly.
• In order to fl y into a curve, it is often suffi cient to tap the direction regulator gently into the
appropriate direction. During the fi rst fl ight attempts, people tend to control the helicopter too
vehemently. The control regulator should always be moved slowly and carefully - never quickly
or suddenly.
• Beginners should, after trimming, fi rst try to command the actuating regulator correctly. The
helicopter does not necessarily have to fl y straight ahead at fi rst - it is more important to main-
tain a consistent height of approximately one metre above the fl oor by repeated, brief tapping
of the actuating regulator. Only then should you practice moving the helicopter left and right.
• Make sure to return the thrust controller on the remote control to the lowest position after an "emergency landing" in order to prevent damages to the electronics and rotor blades.
• Two helicopters with the same MHz frequency cannot be used at the same time.
• The aircraft and the remote control must always be fully switched off after use and the plug on the battery cable of the helicopter battery disconnected. Otherwise, an unintentional start command
can be issued.
If the rotor blades on the helicopter become damaged and have to be replaced, switch the remote control to "OFF" and disconnect the plug from the helicopter battery.
Then proceed as follows:
Ensure before installation
that you have not mixed
up the rotor blades. The
rotor blades are marked
"A" and"B" (see Fig.)
Type "A" rotor blades are
installed on the top and
type "B" rotor blades are
installed below.
1. Remove the casing from the helicopter as shown (fi g. 1 a/b)
2. Open the retainer braces with a Philips screwdriver and remove
the battery (fi g. 2)
3. When inserting a new Li-Ion battery, pay attention to the
same position so that the distribution of weight and the fl ight
performance of your helicopter remains the same (fi g. 3).
By the way: suitable Li-Ion batteries can be found at
www.revell-control.de/Ersatzteile!
4. Ensure the secure hold of the battery by using double-sided
sticky tape if necessary, and by tightening the retainer braces.
Place the casing back on the fuselage (fi g. 4).
5. Pay attention to the disposal information for the battery on page 1.
When the switch is set to Quick, the helicopter fl ies faster backwards and forwards. If the switch is set to Slow, the
helicopter fl ies more slowly backwards and forwards.
Guidelines on safe fl ying

5. SUITABLE FLIGHT ENVIRONMENT:

The location in which the helicopter is fl own must fulfi l the following criteria:
1. The helicopter can be fl own outdoors, but only when the wind is absolutely still.
The wind should also be still when fl ying in closed rooms. No air-conditioning units or heater
fans etc that could create a fl ow of air should be within the fl ight range wherever possible.
2. The fl ight range should be at least 6 metres long, 6 metres wide and 3 metres high.
3. The fl ight range should always be free of obstacles.
4. On starting, you must ensure that all living creatures - including the pilot - are standing
at least 1-2 m away from the helicopter when the fl ight begins.
5. Always observe the helicopter to ensure it does not fl y at the pilot, other people or
animals and injure them.
CAUTION!
Since 2005, it has become obligatory to insure model aeroplanes and helicopters which can fl y
higher than 30 . Please discuss the matter with your personal liability insurance company and
make sure that your new and previous models are included in this insurance. Have this
confi rmation set down in writing and store it safely.
Tips for operation
Replacing the rotor blades
Changing the Li-Ion battery
fi g. 1a
fi g. 1b
1. Take a Phillips screwdriver and carefully unscrew the screws
on the rotor blade.
2. Now carefully pull the rotor blade off the holder.
3. Insert the new rotor blade carefully into the holder and tighten
the screw. Caution: Do not screw in the screw too tightly. The
rotor blade must have some play.
