Important! Because of the general ageing of the materials used in its
construction, the helmet should not be used for more than 15 years, even if it
displays no external damage or if the thumb pressure test has not revealed any
damage to the strength of the shell's structure. This applies to all parts of a
helmet.
Important! The helmet should on no account be used again after being subjected
to high stress, impact or other forces. This also applies even if no exterior damage
is visible.
Warranty
Provided that the helmet is used exclusively for its intended purpose at all times,
SCHUBERTH guarantees this helmet for a period of 2 years as from date of
manufacture in respect of material and production defects; this warranty is given
to the initial purchaser. SCHUBERTH's liability is restricted to the repair or
replacement of products as it sees fi t and provided that the defect in question
has verifi ably arisen within the warranty period. The helmet must not differ from
its original state and/or be damaged as result of improper use.
Maintenance
The helmet must be regularly inspected and serviced by appropriately qualifi ed
specialists only. Only original parts which have been approved and released by
SCHUBERTH may be used for servicing purposes.
Storage and transport
Firefi ghter helmets should be stored in a cool, dry and protected place. Even
though the helmet shell is resistant to UV rays, keep your helmet away from direct
sunlight when stored in order to prevent possible damage to the luminous lacquer.
The visor should be stored in a clean, dry environment protected from direct
sunlight. The admissible storage temperature range is 0-45 °C at normal ambient
pressure with relative humidity up to 90%. In the original packaging, the visor is
covered with a protective fi lm which should not be removed for storage.
