TROUBLESHOOTING
Probable cause
Incorrect starting procedure.
Stop switch in the right (STOP)
position
There is no fuel in the fuel tank
Spark plug defective
Defective clutch
Idle speed too high
Defective clutch
Belt too loose or defective
Defective clutch
Blade fitted incorrectly
Clogged air filter
Clogged fuel filter
Fuel tank vent blocked
Blade fitted incorrectly
Blade defective
Vibration damping elements

Potential Solution
See instructions under the heading
Starting and stopping.
Make sure that the stop switch (STOP) is
in the left position.
Refill with fuel
Replace the spark plug.
Contact your servicing dealer.
Adjust the idle speed
Contact your servicing dealer.
Tighten the belt / Replace the belt with a
new one
Contact your servicing dealer.
Make sure the blade is properly installed.
Check the air filter and replace if
necessary.
Replace the fuel filter.
Contact your servicing dealer.
Check that the cutting blade is fitted
correctly and does not show signs of
damage. See the instructions in the
sections "Cutting blades" and "Assembly
and adjustments".
Change the blade and make sure it is
intact.
Contact your servicing dealer.
Clean the machine's air intake/cooling
flanges
Check belt / adjust the tension
Always cut at full throttle.
