GENERAL SAFETY PROVISIONS

The operator must comply with the advice and warnings given below in
order to ensure safe, long-lasting machine performance:
• do not allow untrained staff to use the machine;
• prepare an optimal worktop, making sure that the operational space is
free from obstacles, clean and has suitable lighting;
• avoid distractions when using the machine;
• it is prohibited to work objects with features different from those for
which the machine has been designed;
• in the event of a malfunction follow the advice given in this manual; if in
doubt, stop the machine and contact your Authorised After-Sales Centre
immediately;
• do not open machine compartments containing electric parts;
• before carrying out any cleaning, routine and/or extraordinary
maintenance, make sure that the machine has been unplugged from the
mains power supply;
• do not replace the power supply cable or tamper with the supplied plug;
to replace the same due to damage or wear, only contact the Authorised
After-Sales Centre;
• always make sure that there are no foreign bodies inside the work area.
These could prevent damage to the machine and/or injury to the staff;
• do not use petrol or flammable solvents as detergents; use only non-
flammable, non-corrosive and non-toxic substances. (see par. 8.1);
• always wear protective goggles during mixing.
• Zhermack cannot be held responsible for any damage to the
equipment owing to incorrect maintenance performed by
unskilled staff or maintenance that does not comply with that
stated in this manual.
• As of this moment Zhermack is relieved from any injury/
damage to persons/objects that should occur following any
different use and use not declared in this manual.
The machine has an electrical plant therefore, in the event of a
fire, no matter how small, only use powder extinguishers. Do not
use water.
CHAPTER 3: DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
3.1

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE

The machine described in this Manual is the alghamix II mixer, designed to
mix alginates, plaster and silicones mainly in the dental sector.

Fig. B: the machine described in this manual has a plate giving identification
data of the same and the Manufacturer:

The machine has been built in compliance with the EEC Directives stated in
the attached "CE Declaration of Conformity. Use the identification data to
request spare parts, information and After-Sales Assistance from authorised
centres. If the plate should deteriorate with use and become illegible, even
partially, request a replacement from the Manufacturer stating all data.
Do not remove and/or ruin the plate so that the machine
identification data can be recognised at all times.

bowl is replaced with a support (8) used for silicones, on which the mixing
block is replaced (7), which is made up from n.20 removable adhesive sheets
(see par. 7.4). Both components are supplied on request.

CHAPTER 4: TECHNICAL FEATURES
4.1 TECHNICAL FEATURES AND FUNCTIONING PRINCIPLE
