REPLACEMENT OF WEARING PARTS
Replacement of heating ribbon:
To keep up the faultless function of your device and to avoid unnecessary damages, we recommend the exclusive
use of genuine hawo parts.
1. In case of any servicing on the machine pull out mains connection plug !
2. Remove fastening screws of lower beam.
3. Remove both connection cables at the lower beam.
4. Unscrew clamping ledges for teflon ribbon.
5. Pull off self-adhesive teflon ribbon.
6. Replace heating ribbon, if necessary.
7. Stretch the new teflon glass tissue on without folds.
8. Remount clamping ledges.
9. Fix both connection cables at the lower beam.
10. Remount welding rams in reverse order. Pay attention on parallelity to upper beam.
Please pay a special attention on the following:
a) The heating wire must be tensed well by the help of the tension element (linear compensation while
warming up).
b) The current carrying parts must be well connected.
c) Both ends of the heating ribbon must be double.
d) The heating wire must not be damaged.
e) All insulation parts must show no defects.
Knife replacement:
1. Loosen the fixation screws for the cutting device and take the cutting device off.
2. Now the knife is accessible and can be replaced by means of a box spanner or a SW 8-wrench.
3. Remount cutting device in reverse order.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND TIPS
Never use the machine without welding film. Adjust the welding intensity according to the welding material gradually
from 0. In case of a too high adjustment, the teflon ribbon could get damaged.
In general adjustment graduations between 1 and 2 are sufficient. Pull the seam after the welding time to
control its solidity.
