ENGLISH
Use personal protection gear:
dust respirator;
hearing protection;
safety goggles.
Assume proper operating posi-
tion:
at the front of the saw;
in front of the saw;
to the left of the line of cut;
if working with two persons the
second person should stand at
a rear table extension.
If the type of work requires, use
the following:
table extension (accessory), if
otherwise the workpiece would
fall off the table after cutting;
sliding carriage (accessory);
stock clamp – for workpieces
which do not rest securely on
the table – e.g. round stock;
dust collector.
Avoid typical operator mistakes:
Do not attempt to stop the saw
blade by pushing the work-
piece against its side. Risk of
kickback.
Always hold the workpiece
down on the table and do not
jam it. Risk of kickback.
Never cut several workpieces
at the same time – and also no
bundles
containing
individual pieces. Risk of per-
sonal injury if individual pieces
are caught by the saw blade
uncontrolled.
When working in radial saw
mode check prior to each cut,
with the saw blade at standstill,
if the blade will clear the fence
extrusion when cutting fully
through the stock.
Please note that the machine's
stability under lateral load is
less than under load at the
front.
c
Drawing-in/trapping hazard!
Never cut stock to which ropes,
cords, strings, cables or wires are
attached or which contain such
materials.

Table saw mode
3
Note:
When operated as table saw the
workpiece is fed into the blade, towards
the rear of the saw.
This operating mode is particularly suita-
ble for:
edge-trimming,
long cuts.
22
Starting position:
rotating table turned through 90° to
the left;
push/pull action (below the saw
table) locked in the centre of the
table;
saw blade tilt set;
depth of cut set – with the blade
guard in approx. 10 mm distance to
the workpiece;
install universal fence, if necessary
(fence extrusion parallel with the
saw's front edge).
Execution:
1.
Start saw.
2.
Cut workpiece in a single pass.
3.
If no further cutting is to be done
immediately
machine and lower the saw blade
guard fully.

Operation as radial pull
saw
3
Note:
When operated as radial pull
saw, the workpiece is fixed to the table
and the saw blade pulled forward. In this
way the saw can be used as crosscut
saw.
In this operating mode the maximum
length of cut is 285 mm. Depending on
the mitre positon of the rotating table
and stock thickness, the actual length of
cut may be less.
This operating mode is particularly suita-
ble for:
crosscuts
very precise cuts

workpiece is cut in an angle of between
–90° and +90° in relation to the front
edge of the saw table. The mitre angle is
set by turning the rotating table as
required.
This operating mode is particularly suita-
ble for:
Starting position:
rotating table set to desired mitre
angle;
locking device for push/pull action
(below the rotating table) released;
saw blade tilt set;
depth of cut set – with the blade
guard in approx. 10 mm distance to
the workpiece;
fence fitted (installation on front or
side edges of the saw table, as
required).
Place workpiece against the fence
extrusion and hold with one hand.
Start saw.
Cut workpiece by pulling the saw
blade towards you; to do so, slightly
lift the centralized control unit. Let
saw blade return to its rear home
position.
If no further cutting is to be done
immediately
afterwards,
machine and lower the saw blade
guard fully.
Operation as mitre saw

Note:
When used as mitre saw, the

cutting bulky workpieces.
