1.2 Environmental information

This unit meets the international guidelines on the limitation of use of
certain substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) and on
out-dated electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
The packaging consists exclusively of recyclable materials. The pro-
duct and the batteries included may not be disposed of in the normal
household waste but must be returned to a suitable local special disposal
unit.
The adjacent symbol on the product, in the operating instructions or on
the packaging gives notice of this.

2 Setting up the remote control

Note: Before you can operate the remote control unit, the two AAA batteries supplied must
be inserted. To do so, remove the cover on the rear and insert the batteries with the correct
polarity as described (figure in the remote control unit).
Please observe the safety instructions and environmental information. Remove the batteries
if the unit is not going to be used for a long period. If the batteries no longer operate pro-
perly, please replace them immediately with new batteries of the same type.
Note: The remote control unit supplied is a radio remote control unit. It operates on a fre-
quency of 433 MHz. It is possible to operate several now! Sound Panels at the same time
with one unit. The range is 5 – 10 metres. It is not possible to carry out special operating
functions for an iPod/iPhone or any other externally connected units with the remote control
unit supplied.
Caution: Keep the batteries well away from children. They might be swallowed! Ple-
ase contact your doctor immediately if a battery is swallowed. Do not throw batteries
into open fires and do not take them apart. There is a danger of explosion!

Note for Bluetooth: The now! Sound Panel has an integrated Bluetooth receiver as an ex-
tra audio input. This wireless audio connection can be selected via the "BT" select button on
the remote control unit supplied.
