Electrical connection

The switching contacts used in the instruments are potential free and do not need any
supply.
Attention!
Switching contact and unit are matched. After the exchange of a switching contact
a readjustment must be made.
Kindly request the relevant instruction.

Contact protection arrangement

The switch unit may only be connected to circuits with the following maximum ratings:
Change-over contact (SEM-A):
Normally open contact (SEM-E): U
The circuit must not incorporate any effective inductivities or effective capacities. Above
mentioned max. ratings must never be exceeded. For contact protection a fuse with the
nominal value of 1 A (Change-over contact) respectively 2 A (Normally open contact) must
be provided outside of the Hazardous Area for the circuit, unless the switch unit is
connected to an intrinsic safe circuit.
