5. Transport and start up

5.1 Transport and installation

The machine is designed to operate
in closed rooms and must be placed
stable on firm and levelled surface.
The machine must be bolted down.
For packing reasons the machine is
not completely assembled.
5.2 Assembly
If you notice any transport damage
while unpacking, notify your supplier
immediately. Do not operate the
machine!
Dispose of the packing in an
environmentally friendly manner.
Clean all rust protected surfaces with
a mild solvent.
Mounting of tool rest, spark guard
and eye shield:
Mount the eye shield (D, Fig 2) and
the spark guard (Z) to the wheel
housing.
Mount the tool rest (F) to the wheel
housing.

Adjust the spark guard and the tool
rest to within 2mm of the grinding
wheel (Fig 3).

As the wheel wears down, the spark
guard and the tool rest must be re-
adjusted.
Mounting of grinding arm:
Attach the tension knob (A, Fig 4) to
the grinding arm.
Remove the nut (M) from the motor
shaft (Attention: left hand thread)
Attach the grinding arm and thighten
the clamping screw (N) with the
supplied 6mm hex socket key.
Install the contact wheel (L) and
tighten the nut (M).

Mounting the abrasive belt:
Loosen the belt tension, swing belt
tension lever (C, Fig 5) upwards.
