Switching ON and OFF
1. To turn the lawn trimmer on, press and
hold the safety switch (2) and then
press the ON/OFF switch (4) inwards.
2. Release the safety switch.
3. To turn off the lawn trimmer, release
the ON/OFF switch. Please note that
the motor will continue to run for a few
seconds after switching off.
Plant Guard
If you use the lawn trimmer in the vicinity of
branches or stocks of trees, always use the plant
guard (9) to protect the trees.
1. Fold down the plant guard. The plant guard
prevents the lawn trimmer from touching and
damaging branches or stocks of trees. Dam-
aging the bark of the plant might lead to plant
death.
2. When not in use, fold up the plant guard.
Inserting the Spool
Before working on the lawn trimmer, always wait until
the motor has come to complete standstill after
switching off. Unplug from power mains!
1. Turn the lawn trimmer
upside down.
2. Place the spool on the
spring and thread the
nylon lines through the
openings in the spool
holder (see picture on
the right).
