The heating control lamp (11) lights up blue as soon as the heating element of the device
starts heating the water. The heating control lamp lights up at intervals when the water is
being kept warm and when boiling at intervals.
Control Dial
The control dial (6) is used to switch the device on and off and set the temperature of the
water. The following settings can be selected with the control dial:

The device is switched off.
Warm water
Hot water
Boiling water
Inserting the Drip Tray
The device is supplied with a drip tray (8) as the discharge tap (12) might continue to drip
after the water has been removed.
Only attach the drip tray to the device / remove the drip tray from the device when
there is no water in the water reservoir (5) and the teapot (2) is not placed on the
device.
1. Tilt the device backwards slightly.
2. Place the drip tray under the device so that the arrow on the drip tray is aligned with
the arrow on the base (7) (Picture A).
3. Lower the device down again and make sure that the edge of the base is placed in the
groove of the drip tray.
4. Place the cover (9) on the drip tray.
Removing / Attaching the Lid
1. Hold the lid (15) by the lid handles (16).
If the device has been in operation, use potholders or similar gloves as the lid han-
dles might be hot. Always allow the device to cool down before using it again.
2. To take off the lid, turn the marking on the lid (
the water reservoir (5) (Picture B1).
3. To close the lid, place it on so that the marking on the lid (
position on the water reservoir. Turn the lid clockwise so that the marking on the lid (
