Getting Started and Operation

The product is designed to be used with suitable Kenwood radios. They can be
recognised by headset and microphone connectors interval matching the same on
the Bluetooth Adapter.

Preparation
• Plug the the Bluetooth Adapter firmly into con-
®
nectors of the radio.
The Bluetooth Adapter must clean-
®
ly snap into the sockets of the radio,
otherwise, malfunction may occur.
• Plug the headset into the ear and secure it with the
ear hook (7).
Pairing
• Switch on the headset by sliding the ON/OFF switch (6) upwards.
• The status indicator (5) flashes red and blue. It means that the headset is in the pairing mode.
Now the headset can be connected with another device (e.g. mobile phone). For
more information please read the relevant instructions of the respective device.
• Switch on the Bluetooth Adapter by pressing the multifunction button (11) for 4 seconds.

• The status indicator (12) flashes red and blue. It means that the Bluetooth
in the pairing mode.
• Now both components will connect automatically. This process will be over after approx.
30 seconds.
• Upon successful completion of the pairing process, the status indicators
(5 and 12) will flash blue at longer intervals.
During the pairing process, headset and Bluetooth
range. Keep the distance of 1 m specifically for this process.
The pairing process will be aborted if not completed within 3 minutes. In this case,
switch both components off and on again.
The pairing process should be carried out only once. If after successful pairing com-
ponents are switched on again, connection will be established automatically.

Talking Keep PTT button (2) pressed
Adjusting the volume Press repeatedly the volume button (4) to set the desired
volume:
Level 1 > level 2 > level 3 > level 4 > level 1 > level 2 > ...

Switching on Press and hold the multifunctional button (11) for 3 seconds
until LED lights up blue
Switching off Press and hold the multifunctional button (11) for 4 seconds
until blue LED lights up and then goes out
Pairing Press and hold the multifunctional button (11) for 6 seconds
until LED flashes blue/red

Care and Cleaning

• Turn off the product before every cleaning.
• Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since the-
se could damage the housing or even impair operation.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. If the device is very dirty, use a cloth slightly
moistened with lukewarm tap water.
