5. Safety instructions
In the case of damages which are caused due to failure to observe these operating instructions,
the guarantee will expire. We do not assume any liability for any damage arising as a
consequence!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury, caused by improper use
or failure to observe the safety instructions. Any claim to warranty will lapse in such cases!
Dear customer, The safety instructions and danger warnings below are not only for the protection of the device but
also to protect your well being. Please read carefully through the following points:
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of safety
and approval reasons (CE). Furthermore, the guarantee/warrantee would also expire in such a case.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children! Children cannot judge the
dangers involved, when dealing with electrical devices.
Be especially careful if children are around, as they could try to put objects through the opening of
the housing into the device! There is a risk of a fatal electric shock.
• The product is designed for use indoors or in a sheltered outdoor area (for example under a roof
projection).
• The device is designed according to protection class I. The protective conductor must be connected;
otherwise there is the risk of a fatal electric shock.
• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. during transport), condensation
water may form. There is the risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Therefore, first let the product heat up to room temperature before mounting and operating it.
• Use the device only in moderate climate regions and not in tropical climate.
• Do not bend the cable and do not place objects on it.
• Should the power cord show any damages, do not touch the power cord. Turn off the mains voltage
(via the automatic cut-out).
Then have the cable replaced by an expert.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children!
• The housing of the surveillance camera's lamp gets very hot during operation. Danger of burns!
If you want to change the position of the surveillance camera, first check the temperature of the
casing very carefully before touching it! The same applies for changing the illuminant!
• In order to change the illuminant, first separate the surveillance camera from the mains voltage; turn
the mains voltage off (turn off the automatic cutout). Then let the casing cool down.
Then you may open the casing and replace the halogen rod with a new one!
Make sure to only use a halogen rod type "R7S" with max. 500W.
Prior to commissioning, you have to reattach the protective glass and the cover frame properly.
