Before refilling with water wait
another 5 minutes until the appli-
ance has cooled down.
If by chance the boil-dry cut-out fails
to work an additional thermal fuse
will cut off power to the unit.
Descaling
A lime scale at the bottom of the kett-
le will cause loss of energy and can
reduce the life time of the appliance.
If the lime scale is too thick the
appliance switches off before the
water is boiling. In this case it is very
difficult to remove the lime scale.
The pot should regularly be descaled
with usual descaling agents suitable
for stainless steel.
Please consider the user instructions
of the manufacturer.
Never allow the substance to boil,
otherwise it will foam over the top of
the kettle. After descaling rinse the
kettle carefully with water.
The guarantee does not cover
damages resulting from non-keeping
of the manufacturer's instructions.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before cleaning unplug the
appliance. Never immerse the kettle
or the base into water.
Clean the inside of the kettle
occasionally. Clean the outside with
a damp cloth only. Do not use
caustic or scouring cleaning agents.
The sieve can be taken off for cleaning.
The pot is made from rust-resistant
stainless steel. Any iron moulds are only
residues which stick on the surface.
They should be removed with a special
cleansing agent for stainless steel.

kettle is difficult:

• Appliance cannot be switched
on: After having used the

the appliance has not yet cooled
down sufficiently with the thermo-
stat still in place.
If the failure cannot be removed let
the appliance have repaired.
