6. Explanation of Adjustment Elements

The adjustment elements explained in the following are located below the removable "cover
lid" (5).
Observe that the "cover lid" (5) must be closed again once you have made your adjust-
ments to ensure proper and safe operation and weather protection.
AGC (Automatic Gain Control): The AGC ON setting automatically increases camera sensitivity
when ambience brightness decreases. The AGC function automatically adjusts amplifi cation in
an area of up to 28dB.
D/N (Day & Night ON/OFF): This camera can be switched to colour mode to enable best image
quality in daylight, and to greyscale mode to ensure clear images in dark.
BLC (Back Light Compensation): ON sets the camera lighting so that light coming from the direc-
tion of the image is compensated for. Default is OFF.
DSS (Digital Slow Shutter): DSS ON activates the "Digital Slow Shutter" function. The closing time
increases and the recording has more light. Default is OFF.
FL (Flickerless): If the camera is used together with a 50Hz fl uorescence lamp, the monitor may
start to fl icker. In this case, the FL function can be set to ON. However, if you are using 60Hz fl uo-
rescence lamps, the FL function should be set to OFF.
D.Z (Digital Zoom): ON displays the image in 2x-digital-zoom-mode.
A) Video output connection
This video output is intended for connection of a service moni-
tor. The matching connection cable is included with the camera
B) Rotary control for DC level adjustment
This rotary control is used for setting the basic camera bright-
ness.
