A. Fitting the battery - battery exchange
For a fault-free operation of your measuring device, it has to be
equipped with a 9-V compound battery. If the battery-exchange
symbol is shown on the top left of the display, you will have to
exchange the battery. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Separate your measuring device from the voltage circuit (and
from the PC, if this exists and is connected),
- Remove the temperature sensors from the measuring device,
- Switch it off and
- Push the cover of the battery chamber carefully off in direction
of the arrow.
- Separate the used battery from the connecting clip and
- Replace the battery with a new one of the same type.
- When the battery exchange has been carried out successfully,
place the connected battery in the battery chamber and
- Close the chamber carefully and properly.
- When closing the battery chamber, please make sure that the
lead of the connecting clip (red/black) is not squeezed.
By no means operate the measuring device when it
is open.
Leave no used batteries in the measuring device,
since even leakage-protected batteries can corrode
and thereby release chemicals which can damage
your health or destroy the battery chamber.
Used batteries are to be considered as special wa-
ste and therefore are to be disposed of in a way

Non seulement le câble de connexion de l'interface, mais aussi
le logiciel sont en vente optionnelle groupée.
c) Raccordement d'un bloc d'alimentation
A la douille DC 9V peut être branché un bloc d'alimentation pré-
sentant les données de sortie suivantes : tension continue 9 V, si
possible stabilisée, avec un courant de sortance d'au moins 100
mA, une fiche de contact de 3,5 mm de diamètre extérieur et 1,35
mm de diamètre intérieur. Quant à la polarité: moins "-" à l'intérieur,
plus "+" à l'extérieur.
D Position lors de l'utilisation
Lors de l'utilisation du thermomètre digital 303K/J, veillez à ce que
l'affichage à cristaux liquides (abréviation en anglais: LCD) soit lisi-
ble ou que l'affichage numérique soit dirigé vers le haut.
Prises de mesure
Le thermomètre numérique peut effectuer des prises de mesure al-
lant de -200°C à +1370°C pour les capteurs de type K et de -
200°C à +760°C pour les capteurs de type J. Les capteurs de type
K ci-joints peuvent effectuer des prises de mesure allant de -50°C
