9. Commissioning

a) Inserting/changing the remote control battery
• Push the unlocking lever on the battery holder inwards, pulling it out of the housing at the same time
• Remove the battery, if used, and insert a new CR2025 battery into the battery holder observing the correct polarity
(see stamp on the back of the remote control)
• Slide the battery holder back into the remote control

b) Inserting/replacing the outdoor sensor batteries

• Push the unlocking lever on the battery cover inwards, pulling it out of the housing at the same time
• Remove the battery, if used, and insert two new 1.5 V AA (mignon) batteries into the battery holder observing the
correct polarity (see stamp on the back of the remote control)
• Close the battery compartment

c) Mounting the outdoor sensor

• Choose an installation site for the outdoor sensor so that it is protected from precipitation (e.g. beneath an eave).
Otherwise, the sensor will not be able to measure the atmospheric temperature.
• Likewise, the outdoor sensor must not be exposed to direct sunlight (effects of sunlight falsify readout value)
• The maximum range is approx. 50 m on open terrain. Also avoid installing the sensor in the direct vicinity of sheathed
materials, e.g. reinforced concrete walls, as they can reduce the range
