6. Safety instructions

The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage occurs due to failing to comply with the Operating
Instructions! We will not assume any responsibility for consequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for property damage or physical injury caused by improper use or
failure to observe the safety instructions. In such cases the warranty/guarantee is void.
General safety instructions
• For reasons of safety and approval (CE), the product must not be converted and/or modifi ed without
authorisation. Do not open or disassemble the product (apart from the necessary steps for inserting/
changing the batteries or cleaning)! Do not expose the products to strong vibrations and avoid impacts
and falls
• Choose a location at which the radio-colour table clock with weather station stands securely and
cannot fall
• Use the radio colour table clock with weather station only using the supplied mains adapter. If the
housing of the mains adapter or of the radio colour table clock with weather station exhibits a defect,
disconnect the device from the power supply immediately and contact your dealer.
• The device must also be disconnected from the power supply immediately if elevated operating tem-
peratures, unusual operating noises or smoke occur.
• Operate the radio colour table clock with weather station only using a mains socket approved for this
purpose. The mains socket should be easily accessible at all times. Make sure that the cable is laid
properly and that the radio colour table clock with weather station is standing securely
• Protect the radio colour table clock with weather station, the mains adapter and the remote control
from moisture and from the ingress of liquids and/or objects. If it is allowed to come into contact with
water, pull the mains adapter from the power supply immediately
• The radio colour table clock with weather station and the mains adapter are only suitable for dry indoor
areas. Never expose it to direct sunlight, intense heat, cold, moisture or wet. This will pose the risk of
a fatal electric shock! The vent holes must not be covered
• Never expose the products to dust or sand. To prevent a defect being caused by electrostatic charge,
the mounted picture frames should always be connected to the power supply
• Check the devices for outwardly visible damage before use. Do not put a damaged device into opera-
tion.
• Disconnect the mains adapter from the power supply in case of malfunctions or thunderstorms and
before you clean the radio colour table clock with weather station
