c) Assembling the Tail Assemblies
Hold the elevator unit (1) over the centre of the fuselage from above. Align the
elevator according to figure 8b and sketch out the fuselage contours on the
underside with a foil pen.
Use a cutter to remove the film between the lines (2) with a clearance of 5 mm.
Make sure you only cut the film and not the wood beneath it.
Apply 5-minute epoxy resin to the adhesive surface and place the elevator unit
in exactly the same position you marked out with the foil pen. Secure the join
with adhesive tape and allow the glue to cure.

Use a box cutter to cut a suitable groove (1) for the tail wheel (2) guidance pin
into the rudder (3).
Push the guidance pin into its bore.
Ensure that the pin is pushed in far enough so that the front wheel is in one line
with the rudder front edge.
