The equivalent circuit diagram in figure 3 shows the ratios in a
system with two connecting cables of different length and two
plug connectors. In figure 4, the associated voltage course can
be seen at varying current loads.
The higher the internal resistance of the accumulator, the poorer
the voltage situation under load conditions and the more loss of
power is converted within the cell and on stray contact resistances
into heat.
At high currents, stray resistances cause appreciable
loss of voltage on the consumer already in the mW
area!
The measurement of the internal resistance in the whole system
is possible with the aid of the accumulator Ri measuring device
RIM 1000 without any problem.
