Maintenance and Calibration

To ensure the accuracy of the multimeter over a longer period of
time, it should be calibrated once a year. The instrument can be
calibrated at low costs in our calibration laboratory in "Service
2000".
To clean the instrument or the display window, use a clean lint-free
anti-static and dry cleaning cloth.
Attention!
Do not use detergents that contain carbon, petrol,
alcohol or similar substances for cleaning purposes.
The surface of the measuring instrument will be cor-
roded. Moreover the vapours are detrimental to
health and explosive. Nor should sharp-edged tools
such as screwdrivers, metal brushes etc. be used for
cleaning purposes.

Replacing the Fuse

Make sure that only fuses of the type stated and rated current speci-
fied are used as a replacement. It is absolutely impermissible to use
repaired fuses or to bridge the fuse holder. To replace the fuses dis-
connect the measuring instrument from the measurement circuit and
switch it off. Remove all connected lines and testing prods. Remove
the rubber case and unscrew the three housing screws at the rear
side of the instrument by using a suitable crosshead screwdriver.
Remove the defective fuse(s) and replace it (them) by a fuse (fuses)
of the same type and rated current.
For the uA/mA range: 0.5A super-quick-acting, 250V, or for the A-
range super-quick-acting, 250V. Close and fasten the housing
carefully in reverse order after having completed the fuse replace-
ment.
