a) Measuring display
In measuring operation, various parameters and symbols are displayed on the screen depending on activated func-
tions. The symbols are explained one chapter before.
The meter needs some time for measurement before a stable measured value can be displayed. During this time,
no measured value is displayed yet. 4 dashes appear until a stable measured value has been determined. After the
measurement has been ended, the symbol "HOLD" will be displayed for review.
b) IR-Measurement
Point the measuring opening (8) at the measured object vertically. Observe that the measured object is not smaller
than the IR measuring area of the device.
Push and hold the measuring button (5). The display will show the main measured value and all other activated pa-
rameters. The displayed main measured value corresponds to the average surface temperature of the IR measuring
area. During the measurement, the symbol "HOLD" will be concealed in the display.
After the measuring button (5) is released, the last measured value is displayed again until automatic deactivation
(can be pre-set). The symbol "HOLD" appears to indicate readiness for measurement.
To determine the hottest/coldest point of the measured object, guide the measuring opening with the meas-
uring button (5) pushed over the entire surface of the measured object. The measured value is updated
at a rate of 500 ms. Additional functions permit automatic display of maximum value "MAX" and minimum
value "MIN", average value "AVG" and difference value "MIX - MIN". These values are displayed to the right
below the main measuring display. The MIN/MAX/AVG values are switched via movement of the joystick
up/down.
