• When opening the covers or removing parts except where possible by hand, you
may expose live parts. Connections may also be live. Prior to aligning, cleaning,
service or repair work or exchanging parts or modules, you must separate the
appliances from all power sources if you need to open them. Only an expert fami-
liar with the risks and the pertinent regulations may repair or maintain an open live
appliance.
• Never plug-in or unplug the power packs with wet hands.
• Never tug on the power chords of the power packs, use the plug to unplug it from
the wall socket.
• Always unplug the power packs from the wall outlet during thunderstorms.
• Make sure that the power cables are not squashed or damaged by sharp edges
when installing the devices.
• Never replace damaged power cables yourself! In such a case, remove them from
the net and take the devices to a workshop.
• If safe operation can no longer be assured, put the device out of operation and
protect it from being used again accidentally! Safe operation can no longer be
assumed if
- the appliance shows visible damage,
- the appliance no longer works and
- after long storage under adverse conditions or
- after heavy transport strain.
• Never operate the devices immediately after bringing them from a cold room into a
warm room. The condensation may destroy the devices under adverse circum-
stances. Leave the devices turned off until it has reached room temperature.
• Electric appliances do not belong in the hands of children.
• Ensure that the devices are sufficiently ventilated. Never cover or block the ventila-
tion slots.
• Avoid heavy mechanical strain as well as high temperatures, strong vibrations or
high degrees of humidity as these may damage the devices.
• Never place the devices on an unstable surface. They may fall down and injure
persons.
