3. General Description

3.1. Application

These pumps are single stage, portable centrifugal pumps, suitable for pumping clean and slightly contaminated
water. They can be used for portable and stationary operation. The installation can performed free-standing on
solid ground.
The pumps are equipped with a humidity sensor switch that turns them on starting with a water level of 5 mm.
The pumps are not suitable for conveying media with highly abrasive parts (e.g., sand, gravel, stone).
Application range is intended for flood protection such as in basements. The pump automatically switches on
starting at a water level of 5 mm and then with slight water flow it prevents further rising/pumps out the water. The
pump is used for the prevention and protection against small amounts of water entering or leaking into rooms
where no pump shaft is present, e.g., in basement or sublevel rooms with torrential rain, rooms with water pipes
or to appliances (e.g., washing machines, residential water systems) to prevent impacts of line damage or
leakages.
The pump is equipped with overheating protection. This turns the pump off when exceeds the limit temperature.
After cooling, the pump will restart automatically, if the electrodes of the sensor are covered with liquid.
The pump is not suitable for permanent use, as well as fluids containing abrasive dirt, sand, mud or clay additions
or abrasive or other aggressive substances that might destroy the pump.
With chemically aggressive components in the pumped fluid, it is important to observe the resistance of the pump
materials used.
The use is allowed in sipping mode.
The temperature of the medium may be up to 35 °C, briefly up to 60 °C. The maximum density of the fluid is 1100
kg/m³ and the pH-value should be 6 - 8.

3.2. Types of Use

The pumps are designed for intermittent operation:

Switched on 30 minutes

Switched off 10 minutes

3.3. Construction

The fully submersible unit consists of the motor, the pump housing and the appropriate impeller. All main
components are generously dimensioned.
