On — You need to confirm the talkgroup selection by pressing Select or pressing the PTT
button to immediately start a call on a new talkgroup.
Off — Attaches to the selected talkgroup without any additional prompt.

Setting Rotary Knob Function Keys

Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the Menu key.
2 Select Setup → Rotary Knob → Function Keys.
3 Select one of the following:
Auto — Sets the Side buttons according to the Rotary Mode.
NOTICE: If the Rotary Mode is set to:
Dual or Volume — Display shows Auto Selected (OTB), volume can be set
only through Rotary Knob.
Scroll — Display shows Auto Selected (Volume), volume can be set only
through Side buttons.
Volume Adjust. — Sets the Side buttons to adjust volume level.
OTB Feature — Sets the Side buttons to the predefined One-Touch Button features.

Car Kit

The Car Kit allows better operating convenience when using the radio in a car by providing hands-free
capability by the use of visor microphone and external speakers. Other accessories such as handset,
external PTT, or external emergency button can also be connected to the Car Kit. An external
TETRA/GPS antenna connected to the cradle provides improved signal reception. The Horn and Lights
feature provides additional notifications of incoming calls.

Entering Car Kit Settings

Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the Menu key.
2 Select Setup → Car Kit.
3 Select one of the following:
Spkr On/Off — activates/deactivates the external speaker. Select one of the following:
Speaker On
Speaker Off
Horn&Lights — enables extra sound and light effects to notify about incoming private calls.
Select one of the following:
On
