Fault
There is a thick layer
of frost in the freezer
compartment.
The frozen food is
thawing.
The temperature in the
"cool fresh" compart
ment is too cold or too
warm.

Possible cause
The ambient temperature is
colder than +16 ºC. The
refrigerating unit is starting less
frequently.
The fixed setting has been selec
ted too high or too low.
Remedial action
Defrosting the freezer compartment
(see Defrosting). Always ensure that the freezer
compartment door is closed properly.
Freezer compartment door must click" shut.
Increase the ambient temperature above +16 ºC.
The temperature in the "cool fresh" compartment
can be corrected (for example, if there is frost in the
"cool fresh" compartment).
To do so set the ON/OFF button 1 to OFF.
Simultaneously press buttons 2 and 1 until
"88" is displayed 4, and goes out again
(release the buttons).
Then the set temperature flashes (e.g. 4 °C).
Attention: If the display 4 does not flash, the buttons
were inadvertently held down too long. Switch off the
appliance again and repeat the process as des
cribed above.
To set the temperature, keep pressing the button 2
until the required temperature is displayed. Setting
range from 0 °C-6 °C.
The set temperature is saved after 1 minute and the
display switches back to the current temperature in
the refrigerator compartment.
