Adjusting the sound

You can adjust the sound characteristics to your
preference.

Ex.: When "TRE" is selected

Indication pattern changes as
you adjust the level.
Indication To do:
BAS* 1 Adjust the bass.
(bass)
TRE* 1 Adjust the treble.
(treble)
FAD* 2 Adjust the front
(fader) and rear speaker
balance.
BAL Adjust the left
(balance) and right speaker
balance.
LOUD* 1 Boost low and
(loudness) high frequencies
to produce a well-
balanced sound at
low volume level.
SUB. W* 3 Adjust the
(subwoofer) subwoofer output
level.
VOL* 4 Adjust the
(volume) volume.

* When you adjust the bass, treble, or
loudness, the adjustment you have made is
stored for the currently selected sound mode
(C-EQ) including "USER."

* If you are using a two-speaker system, set
the fader level to "00."
* 3 Only for KD-G612/KD-G611: This takes
effect only when a subwoofer is connected.

* Normally the control dial works as the
volume control. So you do not have to select
"VOL" to adjust the volume level.

* Depending on the amplifier gain control
setting. (See page 24 for details.)
