Mounting
Warning!
Life-threatening danger due to electric shock: Improper wiring is life-threatening and can destroy the
electric security lock 809M. The connection of the power supply may only be carried out by trained, quali-
fied personnel.
Caution!
Risk of injury due to sharp edges and chippings: There is a risk of injury from sharp edges resulting from
drilling and other cutting work. Be sure to protect your eyes with suitable protective goggles. Have the
work performed by appropriately trained, qualified personnel.
Preparation for mounting
Caution!
Unsuitable doors diminish personal safety and intrusion protection: Only approved and technically
faultless doors are suitable for the mounting of the electric security lock 809M. Prior to the mounting of the
electric security lock 809M, the door must be inspected to ensure that it closes properly and is not warped.
The door must be approved for the use of the electric security lock 809M.
1
Finish the lock pocket in a suitable vertical mounting position in the door leaf. Take into account an
additional 30 mm for the cable loop for the depth.
2
Finish the drilled holes for the fixing screws for solid leaf doors according to Pic. 10.
3
Drill the holes for the lock escutcheons.
4
Clean the lock pocket and all drilled holes by blowing them out or vacuuming.
The locket is prepared for the further mounting.
Electrical connections
Impor tant!
A faulty connection will destroy the lock or impair its function: When connecting the cable, the
contacts may not be reversed, otherwise the lock can be destroyed or not function properly. Observe the
numbering and colour coding according to the connection diagrams.
