This manual is an important part of the Leica
DM IL microscope and should be carefully
read before switching on and using the
instrument.
This manual contains important instructions and
information with regard to operating safety and
maintenance of the system. For this reason, it
should be carefully kept at hand.

The manual is multi-lingual. The spiral binding
makes it possible to turn the instructions in the
desired language to the front.
Numbers in brackets, e. g. (1.2), refer to
illustrations, in the example to Fig. 1, pos. 2.
Numbers with an arrow, e. g. → p. 20, refer to a
particular page of this manual.
Special safety information is marked with a
triangular symbol in the margin and printed
on a grey background.
Attention! Operating errors can damage the
microscope or its accessories.
