Further Steps
Once you have carried out the firmware update, you can distribute this new
firmware version from this telephone to all the other system telephones of
the same model connected to the PBX.
Note: If there are system telephones of different designs, an additional
manual firmware update is necessary for each design.
In order to use new features after a firmware update, you usually need a
new version of the COMfortel Set configuration software as well as a new
version of the Operation and Configuration Instructions. Both can be found
in the internet (see
fortel 1600/2600 > Download/Documentation).
In order to use the new features after a firmware update of the telephone,
an update of the PBX firmware is often necessary (see instructions of the
PBX).

Distributing Firmware

Note: If there are system telephones of different designs, the firmware has
to be distributed for each design.
Requirements
– New firmware version on the distributing telephone

Press the menu key.
2.
Tap successively on settings > synchronisation > distr. firmware.

Inserting the Lettering Label

Requirements
– Lettering label. On
labels that can be cut out and labelled manually. Using the COMfortel Set
