4.7 Record and Playback

This point explains how to record a TV program, play, rename, and delete again. Ensure
that a suitable USB device such as USB stick, external or internal hard drive is connected
properly.
Record
To start a direct recording, press the REC button on the remote control. The program will
be recorded from this time, as long until you press STOP on the remote control, or the
storage medium is full. To program a Timer, there are two different ways:
1. Press while the TV operating the EPG button. Locate the appropriate program in the
EPG menu and then press the GREEN button to display the Timer menu. You can
freely adjust the recording (eg recording time, daily, weekly, Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun). The
recording time from start to end is assigned automatically. You can contribute to
security, especially during live shows the time be changed manually (recording start
earlier and stop later.) After all settings have been done, click „Save".
2. A recording can also be done manually. Under preferences in the Main Menu, select
the submenu „plan recording". There are 8 timer settings available. Select the first
timer with OK. Then the timer menu appears. Here you can set all the options ma-
nually (timer mode, function, program, date, time, ...)
Playback
To play recordings, press the USB button while the TV operating. Then opens the USB
menu. You get to this menu in the Main menu under System Information -> Media Player
(USB). At the top of the screen there are 4 categories to choose from:
video, recordings, music, pictures.
Use the arrow keys left/right to select appropriate category (in this case recordings). In
the list below all previous recordings with the date and program information are dis-
played. Select a recording with the arrow keys. In the small window to the right of it,
a preview is displayed (press the PLAY button on the remote). To start playback in full
screen mode, click OK.

Rename
Select a record and press the RED button to rename the record (Here only the sender
name renamed). If you want to change the name of the program itself, press the OPTION
key.
Lock
To lock a recording, press the GREEN button. A password is required. The default pass-
word is: 0000. The password can be change under the menu item Preferences -> Youth
protection.
Delete
To delete a record, press the YELLOW button. The record will be marked with an X. Only
after leaving the menu with EXIT the record will finally delete from USB storage or the
internal hard drive.

For more information about the record, press the INFO button (BLUE).

4.8 Media-Player Menu

The media player menu consists of 4 categories:
Video: If you loaded several video files on your USB storage, they can be played here.
Recordings: Playback and editing of your recordings through the set-top box.
Music: If you loaded some music files on your USB storage, they can be played here.
Pictures: If you loaded several pictures on your USB storage, this can be viewed here.
In the individual categories, several options are available. If you are in a category are dis-
played available options at the bottom. These are mainly controlled by the color buttons.

inserted.
