Using the flash increases battery usage. If the battery is almost
flat, the flash requires longer to charge.
CAUTION!
Do not use the flash to take close-ups of people
and animals. Maintain a distance of at least one
metre from your subject.
7.3.2. Zoom function – enlarging or reducing
The camera has a 4x digital zoom.
 Press the T and W buttons. The zoom factor appears in the
bottom left-hand corner of the display.
W: The image section will be enlarged ("wide angle"); you can
capture a larger section.
T: The image section will be reduced ("telephoto"); you can cap-
ture a smaller section.
NOTE!
With the digital zoom, the image section is enlarged by
interpolation; the image quality can suffer as a result.
