Ensuring the protective function when using
LE 20 with C 2000, M 2000 or single-beam
photoelectric safety switches
When using the LE 20 in conjunction with the safety light
curtain C 2000, the photoelectric safety switch M 2000 or the
testable single-beam photoelectric safety switch the protective
function is only ensured if the following notes are observed:
1. Access to the hazardous zone must only be possible
through the safety light beams.
2. Climbing over, crawling beneath or bypassing the safety
light beams must not be possible.
3. The system must be installed without obstruction to the
optical surfaces (e.g. no additional front screen).The
protective function of the device can only be ensured if the
following requirements are satisfied:

LE 20 with C 2000 or M 2000
When using LE 20 in conjunction with the safety light curtain
C 2000 or the photoelectric safety switch M 2000 the
protective function is only ensured if the following notes are
observed:
The installation was planned in accordance with the
Technical Descriptions of the C 2000 C SAFETY LIGHT
CU RTAI N AND TH E M 2000 MU LTI-B EAM PHOTOELECTR IC
SAFETY SWITCH.

Ensuring the protective function when using
LE 20 with single-beam photoelectric safety
switches
The protective function when using LE 20 in conjunction with
testable single-beam photoelectric safety switches is only
ensured if the following notes are observed:
1 . Single-beam photoelectric safety switches must only be
used as access guarding according to EN 999. Their use as
finger or hand protection is not permitted.
2 . Radiated interference (e.g. direct/indirect sunlight, remote
