7.2 Changing the battery

The installed 3.7V 1200 mAh lithium polymer
battery (LiPo) may be replaced only by a
genuine replacement battery as used by us.
If necessary please contact our Product
Service (see "Product service babyphone in
Europe" on page 116).
1. Remove the battery cover 9 on the back
of the parent unit 8, by sliding it
downwards.

2. Remove the defective battery.
3. Put the new battery in its compartment
as indicated on the unit. Make sure you
insert it with the correct polarity (+ and -).
4. Slide the battery cover 9 back onto the
parent unit 8.
5. Initially, charge
continuously for 10 hours to activate the
full battery capacity (see "4.1 Connecting
the parent unit" on page 24).
Set up the power supply (see "4.4 Power
supply" on page 26)
Charge the battery (see "4.4 Power supply"
on page 26)
Switch it on (see "4.1 Connecting the parent
unit" on page 24 and "4.2 Connecting the
baby unit" on page 25)
Reduce the distance or place the parent
unit somewhere else
Increase the distance to at least 2 – 3 m
Reduce the volume and the VOX level on
the parent unit if you are in the immediate
vicinity of the baby unit (see "6.3 Using the
VOX function to adjust the transmission
sensitivity" on page 28 and "6.4 Adjusting
the volume control" on page 29).
Set up the connection (see "4.3 Connecting
baby unit and parent unit" on page 25)
Check the power supply (see "4.4 Power
supply" on page 26)
Set up the connection (see "4.3 Connecting
baby unit and parent unit" on page 25)
Increase the volume (see "Mute setting" on
page 29)
