Canton loudspeakers are suitable for operation with amplifiers producing large output power, even if the ampli-
fier output power is greater than the load ratings specified in the technical data for the Canton loudspeakers. In
practice, loudspeakers are more endangered by amplifiers with weak output power because the so-called "clip-
ping distortion" they produce when attempting to produce more sound pressure by turning-up the volume and
tone controls boosts the mean power especially in the tweeters of the speaker boxes and may destroy the twee-
ters. Therefore please pay attention not to set volume levels leading to distortion – turn down the volume level
directly when necessary.
M A I N T E N A N C E
For a long term enjoyment with your Canton-speakers please avoid temperature extremes, damp and direct sun-
light. Do not use spirit based cleaners for the loudspeaker cabinet. Clean with a damp lint free cloth only.

Conditions of Guarantee

In addition to guarantee rights under statuary law, Canton grants a five-year warranty on all passive loudspea-
kers. The guarantee period commences on date of purchase and applies only to the initial purchaser. Not cove-
red by the guarantee are transport damage and damage caused by improper handling/use. The claim period shall
not be extended by the replacement of parts or components within the term of the guarantee. This guarantee
extends to all canton loudspeakers purchased from an authorized Canton dealer. In event of guarantee please
contact your local distributor as listed on enclosed Canton list of international partners.
