Setting the Starting Time
For successful timer-controlled operation, you need to set the internal clock (see abo-
ve: "Setting the Internal Clock"), and then adjust the starting time.
Note:
The DESIGN BREW ADVANCED is working very quickly! Within 6 minutes, the
maximum amount of water (1.25 litres) will be heated and distributed onto the
coffee powder in the filter basket. Depending on the amount of coffee powder the
grind size and the setting of the drip speed control you prefer, add a little time (up
to 1 minute) for the coffee to run through the coffee powder and filter bag. Thus,
at the latest, 7 minutes after starting operation, your freshly brewed coffee may be
ready for consumption. You should set the timer accordingly.
4. Prepare the appliance for operation (see: "Preparing the Appliance for Opera-
tion") and adjust the internal clock as described above.
5. Press the AUTO button twice quickly. "TIMER" will be flashing on the LCD
display.
6. By pressing the time setting buttons "HOUR" and "MINUTE", set the desired
time for starting operation. With no buttons pressed for approx. 35 seconds, the
appliance will display the internal clock again and "CLOCK" will be shown.
7. When still in timer setting mode, shortly press the AUTO button to confirm the
current setting. With no buttons pressed for more than 5 seconds, the appliance
will return to displaying the clock with "CLOCK" on the top line.
