Setting the grinding fineness
The grinding fineness is set by turning the
grinder to the right or left (2). Turn the
grinder (2) so that the scale arrow of the
grinder is pointing to the position with the
desired degree of fineness on the scale (3).
• Completely left: finest grind.
• Completely right: coarsest grind.
Activating the filter change reminder
Press the smiley button (29) to activate the filter change reminder. The symbol
appears in the display. The symbol will start flashing after 70 coffees were
brewed. Replace the activated carbon filter as described in the section
Replacing the activated carbon filter.
Removing and fitting the lid of the coffee jug
The appliance is equipped with a glass jug and a lid. To remove the lid, proceed as
follows:

Open the lid as illustrated.

Turn the lid in the direction
of the arrow to release
the left-hand pin of the
lid from the holder (see
detailed illustration). The
lid can now be removed.

First insert the right-hand
pin into the holder, then
turn the lid in the direction
of the arrow so that the
left-hand pin engages.
Close the lid.
