Charging the Battery

Completely charge the battery before first use.
In contrast to NiCd batteries Lithium-ion batteries do not have a memory
effect. The capacity of Lithium-ion batteries does not decrease continuously
but the capacity remains constant until the electronics interrupts discharging.
The grass trimmer will stop abruptly, if the charging level of the battery falls
below a certain value.
The battery may become hot during use. Before recharging it, allow it to cool
down for approx. 30 minutes. Never cover the charging adaptor while charging
the battery.
1. Connect the charging adaptor (15) with the power supply (14). And connect
the power supply with a wall socket.
2. Slide the battery with the termi-
nals first into the charging adaptor
as far as it will go, as pictured on
the right.
3. The charging indicator LED (13)
lights up red. When the battery is
fully charged, the charging indica-
tor LED turns green.
4. Remove the battery from the
charging adaptor and unplug the
power supply unit.

Adjusting the Telescopic Tube

1. Turn the screw connection (8)
in the direction of the UNLOCK
icon to release it and to ex-
tract/to adjust the length of the
telescopic tube.
2. Extract the telescopic tube to
the desired working position.
The telescopic tube can be
enlarged up to approx. 21 cm.
3. Turn the screw connection in
the direction of the LOCK icon
to lock the telescopic tube in its position.
