Sie jetzt ausatmen, muß durch den
Ausatemschlauch Luft stömen,
durch den Einatemschlauch aber
darf keine Luft strömen. Wieder-
holen Sie diese Prozedur, wäh-
rend des Einatmens. Jetzt muß
durch den Einatemschlauch Luft
strömen, nicht aber durch den
Ausatemschlauch.
Warnung !
Sollten Sie feststellen, daß die
Richtungsventile defekt sind,
wechseln Sie sofort auf das Not-
atemsystem und beenden sofort
den Tauchgang. Eine Mißachtung
dieser Warnung kann zu schwe-
ren Schäden oder zum Tod führen.
Nehmen Sie auf keinen Fall das
Mundstück aus dem Mund, solan-
ge Sie daraus atmen, und der
Schieber geöffnet ist. Wollen Sie
das Mundstück aus dem Mund
nehmen, so müssen Sie zuvor
unbedingt den Schieber schlie-
ßen. Es könnte Wasser in das
Gerät eindringen und dieses un-
brauchbar machen.
Sollte Wasser in Ihr System
eingedrungen sein, so stellen
Sie das folgendermaßen fest:
• Der Atemwiderstand erhöht sich
• Das Gerät macht Geräusche
beim Atmen (blubbern)
• Das Überdruckventil bläst bei
jedem Atemzug ab
• Der Abtrieb erhöht sich
Warnung!
Befindet sich Wasser im System,
so wechseln Sie sofort auf Ihr
Notatemsystem um und beginnen
Sie mit dem kontrollierten Auf-
stieg.

You can tell whether water has
gotten into the rebreather system
if any of the following occurs:
• Breathing resistance increases;
• You notice noise from bubbling
during breathing;
• The relief valve blows off during
every breathing cycle.
• The Dolphin unit becomes
noticeably more negatively
buoyant.
Warning!
Should you suspect that water has
gotten into the rebreather system,
IMMEDIATELY switch to your
open circuit bailout system and
terminate the dive. Failure to do
so could lead to serious injury or
death.
Outside of reducing the effec-
tiveness of the DiveSorb
scrubber, water in the system will
produce a caustic solution. While
the Dolphin is equipped with de-
vices to prevent this solution from
entering your mouth, there is no
guarantee this will not happen,
which can produce the classic
"caustic cocktail". This caustic
solution could damage your respi-
ratory tract, mouth and pharynx
cavity. Should you feel a burning
or wet, slippery sensation in your
mouth or pharynx, immediately
switch to your open circuit bailout,
terminate the dive, and upon
surfacing rinse out your mouth
with fresh water. Should any
symptoms persist, contact a
qualified physician immediately.
In case you want to test the
function of the dosage fitting while
diving, close the mixed gas
cylinder and keep watching the
