Testing the signal
Use a voltmeter to test the signal, proceeding as follows:
NOTE
I
Make sure all digital voltmeters measure the effective voltage when
operating in the AC range.
Connect the red lead of the voltmeter to the selected speed signal.
Connect the black lead of the voltmeter to the vehicle earth.
Drive the vehicle at the activation speed of the cruise control (approx.
40 km/h).
Measure the effective voltage of the signal.
8.3 Connecting the vehicle-specific cable set
You must connect the electronic module to the accelerator pedal using a ve-
hicle-specific cable set (not supplied).
NOTICE! Risk of damage!

Do not connect the green cable of the main wiring harness to the
earth. The earth connection is made via the accelerator cable set.
Cut the the original connection of the accelerator pedal.
Connect one end of the vehicle-specific cable set to the accelerator pedal.
Connect the other end of the vehicle-specific cable set to the loose end of
the original connection.
Insert the 8-pin plug into the appropriate socket on the electronic module.
