while you compose the picture. Push the shutter
button ali the way down to take the picture.
• The locus lock will be released if you lake your
linger off the shutter release button before taking
a picture .
• The auto-focus will not ope rate properly if you try
to lake a picture of certain dim or gray objects,
glare or ref lective objects , extremely small
objects, or objects thal are covered in rain mist
or smoke. If you wish to take a picture in

these situations, set the locus lock by aim ing the
camera at another object with a similar brightness
and distance.

The telephoto lens (140mm) may be used when
the camera is O.Bm away from the subject.
(1 )Make sure the object is in the auto-focus frame
when taking a picture of something 0.8-1 m away.
The object will appear larger when the lens is
extended to the 140mm telephoto position .
(2)Line up the object in the close-up mark in the
viewfinder window before pressing the shutter.
• You can use the locus lock if the subject is not in
the auto-focus frame.
• Press the shutter button hall way. A flashing green
light indicates thal the distance is less than O.Bm
(the picture may tu rn out blurry) ; try agai n alter
making sure the camera is far enough away.·
• Taking an automatic photograph using a tripod
will keep the camera from shaking.
