7. Replacing and fixing cover

• After all connections have been made, reinsert the ribbon cable with
the power turned off and check that it is firmly connected.
• While closing the cover, make sure that the rubber gasket is in the
correct position
• Tighten the cover screws uniformly and without too much torque
(plastic threads)
• Do not apply seals and security stickers until commissioning is
completed !

8. Commissioning and operational checks

During commissioning, the functionality of the heat metering system is
checked in order to guarantee the correctness of readings.
Aquametro strongly recommends having the system commissioned by
one of its experienced specialists.
Setting date and time
Without the real-time clock card (2RWC) installed, the internal clock
stops whenever the power supply is shut off. If the billing dates and the
data logger functions are to be used, the time and date must be
actualized during commissioning via the serial interface. The presence
of a real-time clock card is recognised when the displayed date and time
correspond to actual values.
The internal hours in service counter registers the total operating time.
Aquametro AG
Time adjustments are possible with the keypads (see operating manual)
or via the communication interface. If an M-Bus network with central
access is present, all connected meters can be time adjusted by a single
broadcast command.
Testing flow
A flashes on the meter display whenever there is flow. The flashing
frequency is not related to the actual flow rate. The measured value of
flow rate is given on the "Instantaneous values" display (Q xxxx.xxx m
Testing the optional output circuits
Each activation of a relay results in an increment of the corresponding
event counter. By observing the index of the event counter the output
function can be monitored. Check this with the "Field configuration" - "
OUT x" - "Function" menu.
Analogue outputs show their currents in mA. These can be checked with
the "Field configuration" - "OUT x" - „Function" menu.
The displayed value should correspond to the measured output current
provided that the auxillary voltage is applied and the circuit resistance
is correct.
Finalizing and sealing
After the final commissioning the two upper cover screws should by
covered with the plastic studs provided. The lower two screws should be
sealed with the included stickers.
