Set up appliance
Setup
‒ horizontally and vibration free,
‒ under an extraction hood with flame-retardant filters,
‒ not on heated and burnable surfaces,
‒ not against flammable walls.
● There must be no potentially explosive or flammable material in the vicinity of the appliance, e. g.
fuel, grease etc.
● Caution hot combustion gases! Maintain a minimum distance of 1 metre above the appliance. no
objects or devices must be stored or installed above the appliance!
● Make sure that there is sufficient free space above the appliance! There must be no shelves or
moveable swivelling equipment above the appliance that could be pivoted over the appliance!
● The appliance must only be operated in a sufficiently ventilated room. Damage to health through
combustion products can only be prevented with sufficient ventilation.
● Routing of the ventilation systems must be carried out by the appropriate specialists.
● If the exhaust gas duct is located in the hall area and can be inadvertently touched by personnel,
a double jacket must be installed around the exhaust gas duct as protection against burning.
● Make sure that there is sufficient area for movement to operate the appliance! Also that there is
no risk of inadvertent impact with persons when handling the appliance.
. Remove protective film from appliance. Remove residual adhesive with cleaner or benzene.
10.3
Feed combustion air, extract exhaust gases
● Install the appliance below an exhaust air hood. The filters must withstand an exhaust gas tem
perature of 300°C. Use a flame protection filter! Maintain a minimum distance of a metre to the
exhaust gas hood!
● Appliances with the identification of gas appliance "A1" permit installation without direct connec
tion to an exhaust gas system. Depending on the rating of the appliance and conception of the
appliance, an exhaust gas entrainment path and/or monitoring of the exhaust gas discharge is
required.
● Observe the country-specific specifications for the supply of combustion air and exhaust gas ex
traction!
● The gas fitter calculates the supply of combustion air and exhaust gas extraction required.
