Warning – Batteries
• Immediately remove and dispose of dead batteries from the product.
• Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.
• When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and - markings) and insert the batteries
accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
• Do not overcharge batteries.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not short circuit the batteries/rechargeable batteries and keep them away from uncoated
metal objects.
4. Getting Started
Open the battery compartment cover, remove the contact breaker and then close the battery
compartment cover again.
5. Operation
5.1. Automatic time setting using the DCF signal
• Once you have removed the contact breaker, an acoustic signal sounds and the alarm clock
automatically starts searching for a DCF signal.
• After approx. 5-10 minutes (depending on how quickly the radio signal was received), the hands
will set themselves to the correct time.
5.2. Setting the time manually
• If the correct time has not been set after approx. 10 minutes, this means the clock could not find
a DCF signal.
• Press and hold the M.SET button to manually set the correct time. Release the M.SET button once
you have reached the required time.
• The clock automatically continues to search for the DCF signal on a daily basis. If the signal is
received successfully, the manually set time is overwritten.
• You may need to change the installation location and avoid areas with possible sources of
interference (cordless and mobile telephones, wireless speakers, etc.).
5.3. Starting manual reception
• Once the clock is running, press the REC button for 3 seconds. This will set the hands to the 12:00
position. Now the clock starts searching for the DCF signal.
• If no signal has been received, the clock will show the time previously saved.
