Charge and fly

Use transmitter as charging station

• Turn on the transmitter and make sure that the helicopter is off - switch in OFF
position.
• Now open the door in the left handle (Fig.) and pull out the charging cable. Con-
nect the charger to the charging socket on the bottom of the helicopter.
• The green LED of the transmitter lights up and displays the charging process.
Charging takes about 30-40 minutes. If the battery is fully charged, the green LED
goes out.
• With new transmitter batteries the helicopter battery can be re-
charged approximately 8 times. If the green LED goes out very
quickly or does not light at all, the transmitter batteries need to be
changed, it is no longer possible to charge the helicopter.

USB charging cable

• Make sure that the helicopter is off - switch in OFF position.
• Insert the USB plug into a suitable socket on your PC or Notebook
(or power adapter with USB socket) and connect the charging plug
to the charging socket on the bottom of the helicopter.
• The LED of the USB plug goes off, indicating that the charging
process has started. Charging takes about 40-50 minutes. If the
battery is fully charged, the LED of the USB connector comes on
again.
The flight time of the helicopter is about 5-7 minutes.

Take off and fly

Before you begin please check:
WARNING: Only start with a sufficiently full transmitter batteries (batteries-) and fully charged flight
battery – crash hazard!
• Check all parts for damage and dirt. Replace any damaged parts and clean the model, because dirt
increases the weight and therefore can degrade the flying qualities.
• Switch on the transmitter. The blue POWER LED lits. If the POWER LED flashes, move the left throttle
lever to the lowest position. This safety circuit prevents the rotor may start after turning ON the helicopter.
• Then switch on the helicopter. The red LED on the receiver board lits. Place the helicopter in starting
position as soon as the red LED starts to flash, the helicopter is ready now.
Note: the EUROCOPTER is protected against unintentional starting of the motor when you switch it
on to avoid the risk of injury. To activate the motor, the throttle must moved once all the way up and then
moved back to the bottom. If the lower position is correctly (motor off) a short beep will sound. Now the
EUROCOPTER responds to your commands.
• Check the motor and servo functions.
Note: the maximum range is about 25 m.
• If you fly your helicopter for the first time, the forward-backward speed is limited, so the helicopter flies
relatively slow. If you have never operated a radio controlled helicopter, this is the ideal setting to get used
to the control and the flight characteristics. By pressing the right button (see Figure), this training mode
is switched off, the helicopter will fly faster. Press again, the helicopter flies slower again. As a result, the
speed can be very easily adapted to the pilots skills.
• If the flight battery runs low, the motor speed is reduced and the helicopter sinks automatically. Find a
suitable place to land safely. Charge the flight battery again.
